Here are three events DnA recommends you check out this week.

1. 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show

The auto show opens to the public this Friday and the LA TimesJerry Hirsch tells DnA that this year is the “coming out party” for the hydrogen fuel cell car. Could this create a divide within the green car community? See concept cars, (Honda’s rendering above), on the show floor at the show  Toyota Motor Corp.Honda Motor Co. and Hyundai Motor Co.

When: November 22-29, including Thanksgiving

2. Carlo Scarpa Venetian Glass Design 1932-1947

DnA’s Mallery Roberts Morgan says don’t miss the Carlo Scarpa Venini Glass exhibition at Micucci Arte in the Pacific Design Center (PDC).  A unique opportunity to see 27 of the glorious glass pieces created by legendary 20th century Italian architect Scarpa for the storied Venetian glass company Venini (Scarpa served as artistic director of Venini from 1932 to 1947).

While at the Pacific Design Center, be sure to pop into the showroom of Ralph Pucci to see the work of London-based lighting designer Michael Anastassiades.  A great opportunity for Los Angeles design lovers to see the work of a very hot European talent.

3. The Reindeer Arts Project 2013

‘Tis the season at Westfield Century City, where starting Friday November 22nd you will find 11 life-size reindeer designed by local artists that will be auctioned to raise money for A Place Called Home and Free Arts for Abused Children. The artists are: “James BondMr. CartoonNoah DavisYolanda GonzalezKaren Kimmel,Ponti LambrosMan OneColette MillerEstevan OriolGregory Siff and Sage Vaughn.  The twelfth reindeer, says Westfield, will be designed by the children from A Place Called Home, “educational programs, counseling and mentorship to South Central L.A. children and teens.”

When: Starting Friday November 22nd, through the end of the Holiday Season
