1. Chinatown at Grand Central Market & the Million Dollar Theatre
This is about as L.A. as it gets- L.A. history meets an L.A. movie, in a historic L.A. theater. In case you haven’t heard, 2013 marks the centennial of the L.A. Aqueduct, and to commemorate the anniversary, the Million Dollar Theatre in downtown will screen the noir-classic Chinatown, starring Jack Nicholson and Faye Dunaway. Grand Central Market, located next door, is extending their hours until 8 PM for the event.

2. Deborah Sussman Loves LA: Opening Reception
Woodbury University launched a successful Kickstarter campaign to showcase the first ever retrospective of L.A. design legend Deborah Sussman’s work. The month-long exhibition will showcase her work from 1953 to 1984 (including her work at the 1984 Olympics). The opening party is Thursday.

3. Holiday Open House at A + D!
Join A+D Museum for their two-day holiday celebration, and check out their show of abstract modernist, graphic designer Armin Hofmann. The installation of exercises in color and shape, called Armin Hofmann Farbe/Color, was designed by architect Michael Rotondi and his life and work partner April Greiman, the influential LA-based graphic designer who studied with Hofmann at the Basel School of Design in Switzerland.
When: The 2 day holiday party takes place Saturday, December 13th and 14th, 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.; Armin Hofman Farbe/Color Exhibition will run until January 19, 2014
