Here are three must-do design things this weekend, including “Caturday,” recommended by DnA.
1. Tea and Talk at Greystone Mansion
Join the Friends of Greystone for tea and a rare chance to see one of L.A.’s most unique historical landmarks. Greystone Mansion, also known as Doheny Mansion was built in the Tudor Revival style by architect Gordon Kaufman and has served as a backdrop for films including The Big Lebowski, The Social Network, and Stripes. The house also gained notoriety when its owner Edward “Ned” Doheny, Jr., was found dead in a murder-suicide with his secretary, Hugh Plunket. James Doyle and Kathryn Herman will take guests on a tour of the American and European Gardens; tea will also be served!
When: Sunday January 26 from 3:00 to 5:00 PM
Where: Greystone Mansion; 905 Loma Vista Drive, Beverly Hills
Tickets: $50/ticket (Friends of Greystone Members) $60 Non-members; Click here to register

2. Cat Art Show and Cat Video Film Festival
Cat lovers rejoice! This Saturday — or Caturday — there are two events that celebrate the explosion of feline-related pop culture that has emerged in recent years. The Cat Art Show features the work of over 50 artists and claims to be both a “meditation and a celebration of the feline form.” Click here for more information.
And in the first “Cat Video Film Festival” “fellow feline fanatics” are invited to gather at the Echoplex to view a selection of 85 cat videos. Click here for more information.
