4. Hollywood Sign Hiking

Those who have tried and failed to hike to the Hollywood Sign will be happy to hear that as of today, the Beachwood Canyon trail is open for hiking. Last March, the city closed the trail (although many still accessed it) in order to install an electric gate “designed to limit vehicle traffic on weekends and holidays, but offer access for hikers during park hours, from 5 a.m. to sunset.” Now the gate is installed –let the selfies commence!

When: Opens Monday January 5, 2014
