I Wish

The big weekend movie at the multiplexes may be Tim Burton's worn-out "Dark Shadows," but the big movie for Joe Morgenstern is a little Japanese comedy about kids.

One of the pleasures of I Wish is rediscovering, in case you'd forgotten, how kids think.... This wise and funny film works small miracles in pinning down the movement when kids turn from the wishfulness of childhood into shaping the world for themselves.
