Shiho Yoshikawa is the ice cream chef at Sweet Rose Creamery. She makes 18 flavors of ice cream and sorbet fresh each morning, all inspired by the farmers market. Yoshikawa says winter is all about citrus. A recipe for her Oro Blanco Mint Sorbet is on the Good Food Blog.
Laura Ramerez of JJ's Lone Daughter Ranch sells her kiwis and tangelos to Yoshikawa for her ice cream and sorbet flavors. Her kiwis are flavorful and best of all the skin slips right off so they are easy to peel. Her tangelos are quite flavorful and will continue to sweeten as the season continues.
