Daniel Boulud is the chef and owner behind many restaurants around the world. His newest cookbook is the coffee table book, Daniel: My French Cuisine. Author Joyce Goldstein talks about the sad loss of Judy Rodgers, chef and owner of Zuni Cafe. Jonathan Gold, the Pulitzer Prize-winning food writer for the LA Times, talks about one of the more unusual restaurants to open this year, Mari Vanna, a new Russian restaurant on Melrose Place. Master sommelier Richard Betts discusses his new book The Essential Scratch & Sniff Guide to Becoming a Wine Expert. George Cossette, one of the co-owners of Silver Lake Wine, talks about some liqueurs that used to be medicine. Plus, David Kinch, the chef and owner of Manresa in Los Gatos, has published Manresa: An Edible Reflection. And on the Market Report, Laura Avery talks to Andrea Crawford of Kenter Canyon Farms about her new "farm to toaster" operation, Roan Mills. She also speaks with CC Consalvo, a Santa Monica Farmers' Market regular and private chef.
