Ernest Miller is a chef, historian and leader in the Southern California preserving community. He is also the co-leader of Slow Food LA.
After the the Los Angeles Master Food Preserver program shut down in late June, he is finding new outlets to teach safe canning techniques for home preservers and aspiring entrepreneurs. He will be leading Food Forward's 12-week Can It! Academy which begins September 14, and this fall he'll launch preserving workshops through Slow Food LA.
