On Tuesday, August 13th AT 7:30pm, Kaufman will be joined by Wenonah Hauter for a Hammer Forum on The Corporatization and Commodification of Food.
Modern agriculture has become increasingly dependent on corporate seeds, fertilizers, and pesticides, while the family farm is a fading myth. Frederick Kaufman, author of Bet The Farm: How Food Stopped Being Food, and Wenonah Hauter, author of Foodopoly: The Battle Over the Future of Food and Farming in America and executive director of Food and Water Watch, look into the agribusiness monopolies that are determining what we eat and how much it costs.
ALL HAMMER PUBLIC PROGRAMS ARE FREE. Assigned seating is available in the Billy Wilder Theater. Free tickets are required and available at the Box Office, one ticket per person on a first come, first served basis. Members enjoy priority seating and seat selection, subject to availability.
