The Future of Foie

Jon Shook and Vinny Dotolo of Animal and Son of a Gun restaurants lament the impending foie gras ban. As of July 1, the sale, production and serving of foie gras will be illegal in California. The State of California is the first state in the union to ban the delicacy. Who is going to enforce the ban?

Jon Shook and Vinny Dotolo of Animal and Son of a Gun restaurants lament the impending foie gras ban. As of July 1, the sale, production and serving of foie gras will be illegal in California. The State of California is the first state in the union to ban the delicacy.

Lesley Barger Suter of Los Angeles magazine, who researched enforcement while she was writing an article on the ban, was continuously transferred to various departments only to discover that no one knows who is going to enforce the ban.
