This week, Jonathan Gold recommends Robata Jinya, a new place on Third Street and Crescent Heights. Robata is a very specific type of Japanese charcoal grilling. Last summer he reviewed Jinya Ramen, the sister restaurant in Studio City, serving what Jonathan calls the best ramen in the city. Robata Jinya serves grilled meats and vegetables on skewers, ramen (of course), and tofu, one of Jonathan’s favorite dishes.
