New Yorker magazine writer Rebecca Mead explains how an ordinary roofing contractor became and unofficial ambassador for North Korea. Robert Egan, who owns Cubby's BBQ in Hackensack, New Jersey, became involved in international diplomacy in the 1990's when Vietnamese officials recommended Egan to North Korean officials looking to build better relations with the United States.
