Jonathan Gold is the Pulitzer prize-winning food writer for the Los Angeles Times. This week he reviews Q a new sushi restaurant in downtown where chef Hiroyuki Naruke emphasizes the flavor of the fish unlike other sushi restaurants in Los Angeles. Don’t expect soy sauce or wasabi.

Both the lunch and dinner menus are omakase.
