The fourth Hunger Games movie will no doubt open huge, but many are wondering what Lionsgate will do to follow that success. The independent studio, one of the only ones alive today, also has strong TV shows like Nashville and Orange Is The New Black, but nothing that rivals the size of their franchise success with Twilight and The Hunger Games. There's some speculation the studio could be in play for a sale or merger, possibly via a acquisition by Liberty Global billionaire John Malone. Malone has a penchant for complicated deals, and since Lionsgate is based in Canada, upping his stake in the company could also be a way to cut his tax bills.
