David Letterman to Retire

Hosted by

Kim talks with Steve Chiotakis about the news coming out of New York this afternoon that David Letterman has announced plans to retire from late night sometime in 2015. Letterman made the announcement during the taping of tonight's show, which is prerecorded. The host has been a fixture of television's late-night landscape since the 1980's -- first on NBC and, then, for the last 21 years, on CBS. When Letterman retires he will have surpassed Johnny Carson as the longest running late-night host. CBS has released a statement confirming the news. While speculation abounds, there has been no mention of a replacement host.
