Kim and John discuss the launch of two new cable networks. Al Jazeera America, an English-language off-shoot of Qatar-owned Al Jazeera, will launch next week. It's pulling in talent like Soledad O'Brien and Joie Chen to compete with the likes of Fox News, MSNBC and CNN. Al Jazeera America will launch with 48 million cable subscribers. Beginning Saturday, Fox Sports One will be in 90 million homes. This is Rupert Murdoch's attempt to take down the reigning cable sports network, ESPN.

Meanwhile, CBS and Time Warner Cable are still duking it out over fees and there is no end in sight. The battle has now moved to the courtroom as two lawsuits have been filed.
