More on the War between Theater Owners and Hollywood Studios

Hosted by

Kim and John discuss the ongoing fight between four of the major studios -- Sony, Fox, Warner Bros, and Universal -- and theater owners over the studios' decision to shorten the amount of time between when a movie is released in theaters and when it becomes available on premium video-on-demand channels at home. Filmmakers like Todd Philips and James Cameron are reportedly on the side of theater owners. Some theater chains are now threatening not to run trailers or have promotional material in their lobbies for films from those studios.
