Kim and Matt Belloni (Hollywood Reporter) discuss the complicated and expensive way that Universal is re-creating the likeness of Paul Walker to complete Fast & Furious 7. The film was partially shot when the star died tragically in a car accident late last year. The studio has decided to finish the film using a team of people to play Walker and the advanced visual effects. It has filed the biggest insurance claim in Hollywood history - $50 million -- which will help cover the particular costs incurred because of Walker's death. Two of Walkers' brothers and an additional actor are being filmed, to play the role that Walker played. All of these performances are being shot by three cameras and will go through a complicated visual effects process at Peter Jackson's VFX house, Wheta, to flesh out the performance of the late actor.
