This week, Twitter made a couple of announcements as it relates to TV. First off, Neileson-- the company that brings you TV ratings-- is now tracking tweets about TV shows and is hoping that networks will pay for overnight data on the amount of twitter traffic on given shows. The idea is that this gives TV executives more fodder to promote their shows' cultural relevance and audience. Twitter also announced a strategic partnership with Comcast. The cable giant/media conglomerate that owns NBC Universal unveiled a new 'See It' feature. Essentially this new feature will allow Comcast subscribers to click a link and immediately watch NBC TV shows.
