Legendary is no doubt in high spirits heading into the opening weekend of their video game adaptation Warcraft. The film has already made $90 million in China, breaking box office records in that country. Thomas Tull, the head of Legendary, has invested in several huge hits with other studios, but many of the movies he's done on his own with Legendary have been bombs. Warcraft was an expensive outing, but it looks like the gamble will be worth it thanks to warm reception in China. Legendary was purchased by the Chinese company Wanda earlier this year, so this will be a momentous occasion for that partnership.
