Can Beutner Save the LA Times?

Hosted by

The LA Times has a new publisher and CEO. He's Austin Beutner, a former Wall Street investment banker who served as first LA deputy mayor under Antonio Villaraigosa. Beutner’s appointment comes just a week after the Times – and eight other newspapers across the country – were spun off into a separate entity by their parent, Tribune Company. Kevin Roderick is editor of LA Observed, and he joins KCRW's Steve Chiotakis.
