LA Times brass under fire

The editor-in-chief and publisher of the LA Times says two letters from readers that appeared in the Sunday edition of the paper should not have been published. They appeared in the Travel section, and relied on cultural stereotypes to justify the internment of Japanese Americans during the Second World War. The statement from Davan Maharaj follows a rough week for the LA Times brass.
