LA's fake news history

Hosted by  •

Another week in the presidential transition, and there are more stories about the so-called, self-identified "alt-right," a group that continues to celebrate Donald Trump's presidential win and affirm its existence – and racist and xenophobic ideals – through that election. While the number of hate crimes against Muslims, Jews, blacks, gays, and women has skyrocketed, according to law enforcement officials and the Southern Poverty Law Center, the focus on fake news is intensifying in media circles, and a lot of that fake news is coming from right here in Southern California.
