Los Angeles and the nation have lost some prominent journalists in the past week. Longtime LA newsman Stan Chambers, who spent more than six decades at KTLA, died on Friday. Laurie Becklund, the award-winning former staff writer at the Los Angeles Times died last weekend at home in the Hollywood Hills. And longtime Laugh-In announcer and veteran voice-over artist Gary Owens died last week too. Kevin Roderick keeps tabs on media for LA Observed, and he joined KCRW's Steve Chiotakis to remember some print and broadcast legends.
