Just when you thought public employee pensions in LA were getting scaled back to allow the city to get a better financial handle on them, comes word that the scaling-back won’t be happening -- at least for now. In a story published over the weekend by David Zahniser in the LA Times, a proposed four-year salary agreement with the Coalitionof LA City Unions calls for the council to abandon that pension plan passed three years ago.
