Go house hunting on any given weekend in Los Angeles, and you'll see home prices at levels we haven't seen in Southern California since the financial crisis -- maybe ever, actually. Study after study has shown that fewer people can afford to buy a home in LA and its outskirts than in practically any other city in the nation. There are theories as to why that is, and KCRW's Steve Chiotakis talked about some of them with Kevin Roderick, editor of LA Observed.
