Will LA County See Its Minimum Wage Increase?

Hosted by

Tomorrow, LA County Supervisors are expected to give the go-ahead to a minimum wage hike that would, like the City of Los Angeles, increase the rate incrementally to $15 an hour.  The vote comes a month after the request was delayed by new Supervisor Hilda Solis. The former US Labor Secretary said she wanted more information about how the plan would affect small businesses. Now Solis says any misgivings she may have had were put to rest by a new county survey in which two-thirds of small business reached said they would not cut jobs or hours because of the increase. Kevin Roderick of LA Observed has more.
