Laurence Fishburne has won an Emmy, Tony and been nominated for an Oscar. He moves from film to TV to the stage for these, including his recent portrayal of Thurgood Marshall, both on stage and in the HOB filmed version.

Fishburne offers a lively look at these transitions (including the roles of Dr. Raymond Langston (CSI) and Ike Turner (What's Love Got to Do With It) and what it is that attracts him to those parts. He also discusses his love of language, his mentors, and why he is drawn to playing African American characters such as Thurgood, who have had a positive effect on American society as a whole.
