Scott Frank: A Walk Among the Tombstones

Hosted by

In A Walk Among the Tombstones, Liam Neeson plays Matthew Scudder, an ex-New York City policeman who works as an unlicensed private investigator, doing "favors" for people in return for "gifts." Scudder is a character stuck between the past and the present, and writer/director Scott Frank chose to set the film in 1999, right around the panic of Y2K. Frank talks about adapting the popular Lawrence Block novel to the big screen, plus how he shakes up the notion of the iconic American masculine figure in his films.
