He went to try to feel closer to his parents, but none of the activities that might bring people closer together seemed to work. Act two. Ethiopian Vacation. A story by Los Angeles writer Sandra Tsing Loh, from her one-woman show &quotAliens; in America," about the year her pennypinching father was talked into an economy vacation to Ethiopia, where there was a famine and a civil war, and where fellow tourists were taken hostage. Act three. Hitchhiking. Writer David Sedaris, author of the book &quotBarrel; Fever" and the forthcoming &quotNaked;" on his years hitchhiking acros the country. He loved especially getting into a car and pretending to be someone he wasn't.
