Tales From the Net

Hosted by
Are people having experiences on the Internet they wouldn't have anywhere else? This American Life -invited listeners to help answer that question, and several hundred people sent in samples of what they're finding on the Internet, including postings from Usenet groups, favorite webpages, and their own email. Host Ira Glass interviewed some of these people. And listeners who live in the Chicago area were invited to come to Chicago's Museum of Contemporary Art, to read onstage (and on the air) their stories from the Internet. David Hauptschein (who has run events like this in the past) co-hosts. (Read an article about this show, which originally aired last summer, in the New York Times' online edition. You'll need to sign up for the service, but it's free and fast.)
