Stories of people who are unable to forget a love that ended.  Host Ira Glass, fiction writer GeorgeSaunders reads his story "Offloading Mrs Schwartz," reporter Scott Carrier on whether amnesia - the form seen as plot device in a thousand movies and romance novels - is real.  (11/15/96)

Can the secular and religious worlds understand each other? We visit Colorado Springs, where the New Life Church has put in place a 24-hour-365-day-per-year "prayer shield" over the city, all night prayer vigils, and more. (9/26/97)

Stories from David Sedaris' book of Christmas stories, "Holidays on Ice," read onstage by David, Julia Sweeney and Matt Malloy. (12/19/97)
