It’s been a great ride on Saturday nights for over a year and as I embark on a new time slot on Sundays from midnight to 3am (technically on Monday morning) to make room for this, I wanted to share some of the bands I’m most excited about at the moment.

The show will remain the same with some added nuggets not heard before on the upbeat Saturday night.

Here’s what you have to look forward to.

First off is Keaton Henson. A singer song writer out of the UK who just completed his first record called “Birthdays”. It is an album produced by Joe Chiccarelli (The Shins, The Strokes, U2, Beck). I got an opportunity to watch Keaton record his new album and wanted to introduce this new song called “Kronos”.

At 20 years old, Lewis Watson already has the ears of major publications and rags around the world. I want to share a track called “Into the Wild” off his EP called “The Wild”.

Next is a band called MT. Royal from Baltimore. It features member from Big in Japan and also Katrina Ford from Celebration. You may know Katrina from a song on UNKLE’s “Where Did the Night Fall” album called “Caged Bird”. I bring you the song “Missing Reward”.

Next is Phosphorescent aka Mathew Houck, now on his 6th album called “Muchacho”. A brilliantly produced album. Here is his lengthy song, “Song For Zulu”.

One from a band called Skaters out of NYC. Recently singed to Warner Brothers, this punk band of sorts has extremely catchy hooks.

This is a new artist also coming out of the UK called Kimberley Anne with an amazing track ” Bury it There“.

Honorable mentions:

1975 — Chocolate

Palma Violets – Step Up For The Cool Cats

Ivan & Aloysha — Running For Cover
