Bill Nye, The Science Guy.

When he walked into KCRW’s basement studios wearing his signature bow-tie and cracking jokes, I was pleased to find out his “on air persona” is very much who he is in real life.

From explaining evolution with Emojis to how music impacts us (scientifically speaking, it’s similar to the high from drugs and gambling), Bill is a national treasure and his song picks were intriguing!

Bill picks a Frank Sinatra track he love for its imperfections, explains the sensual dance known as The Carioca and picks two car-related songs: one that makes him want to drive fast and the other dedicated to the GTO.
