Led Zeppelin — “Ramble On” (Souleance Re-Edit)

A lot of people will call it sacrilege for someone to attempt a remix of Led Zeppelin; especially, a song as well known and beloved as “Ramble On“.

French artist Souleance, whose Brotha EP dazzled many of us late last year, turns in what is quite possibly the most perfect remix of 2014, with his smoothed out jazz-funk re-imagining of “Ramble On“.

I know, I know, that sounds terrible on paper, but give it a listen and I promise you’ll be hooked.

Pinduca – Vamos Farrear (Daniel Haaksman Edit)

Speaking of reworking classics, Man Recordings boss and known Brazilophile, Daniel Haaksman, takes on a lesser-known Brazilian anthem from the ’70’s and gives it a modern club-friendly update.

Haaksman takes a much more subtle approach to his reworking of Pinduca’s “Vamos Farrear” than Souleance’s take on “Ramble On”, but Haaksman’s tweaks give it the extra oomph to blend in seamlessly with your contemporary tracks.
