On Nov. 18 on KCRW, Morning Becomes Eclectic host Jason Bentley premiered the brand new track “Soft Scene” by Autolux, who recently signed on to Danger Mouse‘s freshly launched label 30th Century Records.

Despite its title, “Soft Scene” is actually rather solid and crunchy, with its growling tones helmed by producer Boots, aka Jordan Asher. And if you don’t recognize the name Boots, let us remind you he rattled the world with his work on Beyonce’s self-titled album just two years ago this month.

“Soft Scene” is on Autolux’s forthcoming new album, due sometime in Spring 2016. It follows up 2004’s Future Perfect and 2010’s Transit Transit.
