Divine Fits put out one of my favorite records of last year. The combination of Britt Daniel and Dan Boeckner is pretty unstoppable. They’ve been touring like crazy and, out of nowhere, dropped two new songs!

“Chained To Love” and “Ain’t That The Way” will appear on a new 12” slated for release on July 23 via Merge, the night before they play the Greek TheaterPostal Service in LA with the , That is a show you don’t want to miss!

The tracks are available to download on iTunes and here is a stream of the Britt-led “Aint That the Way” that is getting some major spins at the station.

You can watch them play their split single live on Conan right here, with Dan and Britt swapping instruments mid gig.

Britt told Spin a new Divine Fits album is on the way, but he has a Spoon record in the works first. There’s no going wrong there, I would happily except either and I’m glad he’s in such a prolific place.

If you missed it, revisit their MBE set from last year.
