Junip is Jose Gonzalezand two friends from Stockholm (Elias Araya and Tobias Winterkor) who started the band way back in 1999. The singer’s last solo album “In Our Nature” was a big hit at the station and he has lent his vocals talents to downtempo duo Zero 7 in the past, but he is quick to note this is not a side project.

I’m hearing incredible things about Junip’s live show and we recorded a session with the band that will run on Morning Becomes EclecticMonday, September 13, the day before their album “FIELDS” is released.

Here is a preview, the song “Always,” which KCRW premiered on air today!

You can also download an EP of new songs by signing up for the mailing list on their website.

Enjoy!
