Last Day to Download Sharon Van Etten’s Live Performance on KCRW

From KCRW volunteer Taryn Olsen:

Jason once described Sharon Van Etten as a “kid sister.” I couldn’t put my finger on it at the time, but that was exactly how I felt about her when I saw her live at the Satellite in Silverlake about a month ago. In addition to being a jaw-dropping musician with a powerful voice, she’s also a bright spirit of great joy and light (which she reveals amid giggles and quirkiness between songs).

Sharon revealed in her interview on Morning Becomes Eclectic that she always kept a journal and that her songs are a great form of therapy that she didn’t really expect anybody to hear. Thankfully, Sharon Van Etten graciously shared her songs and performed several of them when she stopped by our studio,  including some from her latest “Epic” as well as a few older tracks (including “Tornado” which is heart breaking and beautiful).

Today is the last day to download Sharon’s Morning Becomes Eclectic performance from our website. As DJ Garth Trinidad would say – “Don’t Sleep, folks!”
