Music For Your Weekend: Primavera Sound Preview Edition

Do people still say FOMO (fear of missing out)? Let’s assume that they do, and I’m here to ensure that you don’t have it. I don’t know who books Primavera, but my hat is off to them in perpetuity. They somehow manage to top themselves year after year. 2018’s line-up in particular looks like the contents of every KCRW listener’s dreams. It’s a glorious mix of long time favorites of ours including Bjork, the National, Arctic Monkeys (returning from a lengthy hiatus), Slyvan Esso, Unknown Mortal Orchestra… to up and coming producers like Toulouse Low Trax that you’ve likely only heard on Mario Cotto’s Saturday late night show. There are about a million different ways that you could curate your experience at this festival, and every single one of them would be amazing.
