New Tune Tuesday

This morning the west coast woke up to new tracks from a couple of indie-rock’s biggest hitters.

Following 6 long years, Fleet Foxes announced their anticipated new album, Crack-Up, and also dropped accompanying single “Third of May / Ōdaigahara.” The track finds the band in a fine return to form and stretches out at nearly 9 minutes long. Check out the lyric video below.

Crack-Up drops June 16th (via Nonesuch) and the band also revealed a not-to-be-missed date @ the Hollywood Bowl with Beach House, September 23.

Not to be outdone – Real Estate released a spring-ready jam titled, Stained Glass. The flowery track is the 2nd single from the forthcoming In Mind, out March 17 (Domino). Also, for those musically inclined, the video includes a lesson on how to play along. Double score! Listen/watch below and if you’re heading to Austin for SXSW, catch them at our day showcase.
