Sarah Williams White: Love From London

Sarah Williams White (and her band with Timmy Rickard and Benjamin Burrell) is easily one of the most exciting acts breaking London at we speak.

She has been played piano since she was seven, then got her digital fix on Cubase when she was about 13, and basically she hasn’t stopped creating since.

She has a soulful integrity to her voice which when matched with her witty and clever lyrics makes for catchy tunes just the right side of pop for my liking. One of my favorite tracks of hers is an older one called “Fool” but equally good is her new single “Hide The Cracks” – here is the video.

It is absolutely zero surprise that some of the hottest producers are on her toes to remix her tracks.

Her live performances are captivating. She says on her Facebook Page she is inspired by Erykah Badu, Prince and Ella Fitzgerald – but if I didn’t tell you that, you could suss it out anyway.

This girl will go far – she has the relaxed Brit approach matched with well crafted musicianship, a beautiful voice and intelligent lyrics.
