Sepalcure is a project that combines the production talents of Travis Stewart aka Machinedrum and Praveen Sharma, both great producers in their own right.

Machinedrum has been on the scene since 2001 and has been consistently releasing records since then, as well as a handful of great remixes for the like of Jimmy Edgar, Foreign Begga, Scuba,Praveen and Benoit, Calva …. (check out his 2009 release “Want to 1 2 ?” and 2010’s “Many Faces” )

Scuba- M.A.R.S. (Machinedrum Remix) by !K7 Records

Praveen Sharma, also known as Braille, has also been releasing music for the last 7 or 8 years. One of my favorites of his is the Praveen and Benoit project “Songs Spun Simla” EP released in 2008, as well as the remix version of this EP. His last EP as Braille was released last September and my favorite track is the opening cut “A Meaning “.

Braille – A Meaning EP [HFT017] by Hotflush

As Sepalcure, theyreleased their first EP “Love Pressure” via Hotflush Recordings in the summer of 2010, followed by “Fleur” EP and a remix EP as well as my favorite track of theirs to date “Taking You Back”, which was released as part of a compilation for Hotflush called “Back and 4th”.

Sepalcure – Taking You Back by jonisaok

They have recently released their self-titled full length, which is one of my favorite records of the year. What I love most about Sepalcure’s music are the emotions and feelings they put in their music which is often missing from bass music, where people tend to be more technical and avant garde but lack soul and feelings (or a different feeling altogetether …)

I also love the way they use vocals on most of the tracks and how it has become one of their trademark sounds.

Enjoy and please as usual buy the album and support emotional music

all my best ,
