Professional snowboarder, skateboarder and two-time Olympic gold medalist Shaun White has been on my wish list for the Guest DJ Project since the show started.
I’m always curious about the tunes that drive athletes to success and, on top of that, he’s a musician himself, playing guitar in a band called Bad Things.
Shaun secretly taught himself how to play guitar after winning one as a trophy at the X-Games so his list is very rock-focused. He even shares his romantic side in a chat about Wreckless Eric’s “Whole Wide World”.
He told us about the ELO song that got him through his first injury, credits Outkast with teaching him the power of fierce individuality, and chooses AC/DC for getting him in competition mode.
