Sleigh Bells is by far one of the most buzzed about bands of the year. I watched months of hype and excitement in the blogosphere before I ever heard this duo’s music. And when I finally popped their CD “Treats” in my player – in bumper to bumper traffic on my way into Hollywood – I was amazed to find that they deserved the accolades. It may not be music that changes the world or the scope of the musical landscape but when I want to dance, need a burst of energy, or when I’m feeling some angst I need to set free, this is the CD I throw on. If you haven’t heard them yet, I recommend taking a listen – particularly to “Rill Rill” and “Tell ‘Em.” Check out the video for “Infinity Guitars.”
