KCRW has partnered with local indie label IAMSOUND on their LA Collectionto spotlight local artists you should know. The label is releasing a series of limited edition split 7″ singles and we have offered up The Franks’ “Ray Gunn Radio.” It was previously available as a free download as part of Today’s Top Tune and you can still hear it streaming below. The LA Weekly calls The Franks’ music “equal parts fun and noisy” and the Echo Park band’s peppy punk-rock goodness is on full display in this track.

Download: The Franks – Ray Gunn Radio

The band has played alongside other West Coast standouts the Soft Pack, Best Coast and Wavves. You can purchase the 7” – which also includes a track from Signals – directly from IAMSOUND’s website.
