I consult a lot of friends and coworkers for booking ideas for the Guest DJ Project but I was threatened with an all out strike by the engineers who make this show possible if I did not book actress Felicia Day.
OK, that might be a little exaggeration, but even though I had never heard of Felicia when they first mentioned her, I quickly learned she is quite an exceptional lady with a serious following! She got her start on “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and then turned her own gaming addiction into a hit web series, “The Guild.”
She was also very busy, so it took months and months to finally make it happen and we taped it the week before Comic-Con, which couldn’t have been more appropriate. Felicia is a fan of the station so it was a blast for all of us. Lots of laughs in this session!
In her Guest DJ set, Felicia talks about the song that inspired The Guild (“The Promise” by When in Rome), her first great rock concert experience, the track that helps her get serious for her dramatic roles and how she came to have her own chart-topping hit song.
