We’ve got a handful of songs to round out 2017, including the twisted electro pop energy of Django Django. Comedian and musician Reggie Watts teams up with extraordinary producer John Tejada as Wajatta. We launch Test Shot Starfish, with a track from SpaceX. We get a taste of new work by Diane Coffee, who starts touring again in early 2018. And Mura Masa share new work.

Django Django “In Your Beat”

Django Django returns to their roots for album #3. The London-based quartet squeezed into their equipment-jammed studio with Metronomy drummer Anna Prior for experimental jamming sessions that would inspire new songs. This approach freed them up so that all of their members contributed not only to the music but to the melody and lyrics as well. “In Your Beat is a more dance-oriented side of Django Django.

Wajatta “Runnin’”

What do you get when you combine stellar comedian/musician Reggie Watts with electronic music composer and producer John Tejada? Wajatta! The two met at a show and started to collaborate soon after. Fans of improvisation, they lock onto each other with the fast paced “Runnin’”.

Test Shot Starfish (Subtractive) “Resonator”

Test Shot Starfish write scores for each individual launch from SpaceX.  Music for Space is meant as a sonic soundscape to accompany the journey. While many of us would love to take the trip, we share “Resonator” as the first step.

Diane Coffee “Poor Man Dan”

Shaun Fleming best known as Diane Coffee is emotionally charged on “Poor Man Dan.” Recording his own voice in multiple harmonies, he creates a gospel choir effect, backed by a brass section. Some even call it “psychedelic Motown.”
