The UK has always been fertile ground for musicians but there are a couple young ones on the scene getting a lot of attention. We recently profiled Jake Bugg and now we turn our attention to piano man Tom Odell.

Jason Bentley thinks he sounds like a “young Chris Martin” – which, to me, means he’s got a great voice and a lot of mainstream potential. In fact, Jason called his song “Another Love” a “slam dunk”. I’m inclined to agree, it’s pretty undeniable and the video is great.

The track builds beautifully. He’s got that sensitive yet powerful thing covered and I hear his live shows are full of energy.

His debut EP “From Another Love” is out now and a full LP will be out next year.
