Chaz Bundick and The Mattson 2: title track from Star Stuff

The Mattson 2 and Chaz Bundick, aka Toro Y Moi, met when Chaz came to the jazzy duo’s rescue after having forgotten to pack a stool for a show in Oakland. He stayed for their mesmerizing sets and months later they began their collaboration. Impromptu sessions coalesced into an album’s worth of compositions. “Star Stuff” is a preview from the album which drops in March.

Psychedelic and experimental Austin artist Ty Richards has a debut album coming out this Friday. Dubbed “Beck Zeppelin” by fans, his song “Spaceman” takes us on a trippy languid journey.

Younger than Taylor Swift, Adele and Solange, Laura Marling is just as talented. Today we celebrate the Brit’s 27th birthday by sharing her new song, “Wild Fire.”

It’s hard to believe that 22 years have passed since Slowdive last released an album with their brand of dreamy shoegaze. Reuniting in 2014, after a lot of work and a little apprehension they’re ready to bestow their latest, “Star Roving.”
